She Did It: Entrepreneurial Women Share Their Stories
On May 9, 2016 The Brookline Chamber of Commerce hosted “She Did It: Entrepreneurial Women Share their Stories” at The Society of Grownups. A distinguished panel of women discussed their backgrounds, their businesses, and their inspirations with event guests. The conversation was moderated by Martha Bebinger, an award-winning journalist for WBUR, Boston’s NPR affiliate. The panelists were: April Gabriel, the owner of Boston General Store in Coolidge Corner; Valerie McSorely, President of Avant Garde Events, Inc. and Cordial Connections®, who is an award-winning event planner and entrepreneur with nearly twenty years of experience; and Catalina Piedrahita, the Cofounder and the Gallery/Café Manager at The Middle Gray, an arts organization and family restaurant that supports and showcases emerging artists in Brookline Village.
