Art with Amy began 21 years ago when a friend asked owner Amy Solomon to fill in for her at an art class in Brookline. She began to get jobs teaching art privately in afterschool programs in Brookline, and even in her living room. Currently, the business is located on Harvard Street and offers students of all ages experience in a real studio. Students develop relationships, talk about art history, choose their own projects and follow their own creative instincts, creating a community of playfulness and artistic exploration. Solomon describes the experience as inspirational and as showing that there is a value in simply working and creating without judgment.
