Breakfast at Fenway featuring Guest Speaker Dan Shaughnessy
The Brookline and the Newton-Needham Chambers brought their teams together again at historic Fenway Park for an exciting morning of networking and an insider’s look into baseball featuring speaker Dan Shaughnessy. Guests enjoyed a breakfast buffet at the State Street Pavilion overlooking the park featuring guest speaker Dan Shaughnessey of The Boston Globe. A member of the Globe staff since 1981, Shaughnessy has been named Massachusetts Sportswriter of the Year eleven times and nine times has been voted one of America’s top 10 sports columnists by AP Sports Editors. He has written 12 books, including New York Times Best Seller “Francona”, “The Curse of the Bambino”, and “Senior Year”, and appears on numerous radio and television shows. Mr. Shaughnessy wowed the crowd with wonderful stories and memories from his career in journalism. Guests enjoyed multi-chamber networking, a tour of the park, and of course photo opps in front of the scoreboard.
